The Dallas Movement Collective is a vibrant and inclusive community dedicated to the transformative potential of embodiment practice.

Who We Are

Uniting like-minded individuals from all walks of life, The Dallas Movement Collective is where the local dance community and the global embodiment movement converge.

As a multi-generational gathering place, the collective celebrates diversity, welcoming people from various cultural, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds, recognizing that we are all connected through the ancestral legacy of dance and movement.

This collective values consent, emphasizing the importance of accountability in fostering a safe and nurturing space for personal growth and exploration.

While honoring the wisdom of the past, the Dallas Movement Collective embraces innovation, exploring new movement techniques and technologies to support our dance towards a flourishing future.

What We Do

We provide movement practices that support learning through the innate wisdom of the body. We believe natural expression ignites the possibility for healing. We hold community containers to support embodied connection.

Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a newcomer, The Dallas Movement Collective welcomes you to this transformative space.

Meet the Creative Team

You are dancers, all of you.

To dance is to investigate and celebrate the experience of being alive.

To be human is to be danced by experience, energy, and emotion.

  • This movement is for everyone. No experience is necessary. Being human + having a body is your preparation.

Participants are invited to gift themselves the permission to simply be themselves. This free-form movement is an opportunity to practice authentic expression. There's no wrong way to experience it, but always remember to respect and seek consent when interacting with others.

  • Yes! We are a multi-generational community. The presence of children is celebrated and those under 12 always dance for free. We ask that parents remain responsible for their actions and behavior at all times.

Note: This excludes workshops, labs and immersions.

  • Ideally, all participants are a part of the opening and closing of events. For first timers, we feel it is necessary to attend the opening and closing circle to fully embrace and understand the practice. For regular attendees, the occasional need to arrive late and/or leave early is understandable.

  • We welcome proactive and prompt communication, the respectful questioning of leadership, and collective inquiry. Please feel free to direct communication to our contact page.
